Can guests be invited to the engagement party and not to the wedding?
I am having the hardest time trying to find a bridesmaid dress that will suit the body types of all my bridesmaids. Do they even need to wear the same style of gown?
Traditionally, only those who will be at the wedding would be invited to the engagement party (and that goes for all pre-wedding parties). An engagement party is a time to let close family and friends know about the wonderful news and they would have an expectation to be at the wedding. If they are close enough friends to be invited to the engagement party, they should be close enough to be invited to the wedding.
