This is my second marriage and I’m not sure how I want to go down the aisle. Can I walk down the aisle by myself or do I need an escort to walk down the aisle?
Even if it is the bride’s first wedding, she has many different ways to walk down the aisle so yes, the bride can walk down by herself. The bride’s escort also doesn’t have to be a male. Some brides will also have an escort walk them only half way down the aisle and then have her groom walk her the rest of the way. It all depends on what the bride wants the walk down the aisle to symbolize for her.
