We’ve been invited to a wedding. It’s the second marriage for both the groom and the bride. We don’t know them personally and we are not going to the wedding. Should we still send a wedding gift?
There is some debate as to whether a wedding gift should be given or not when you are unable to attend the wedding.
Given that you are not going and that you do not know them personally, a token sentimental gift would be a nice gesture but not mandatory. If you were extremely close, a wedding gift would be warranted as it would reflect how much you appreciate the couple even when you cannot be there in person.
