Inviting people from work
I’m planning my invitation guest list and I’d like to invite a few friends from work and my boss, whom I get along with very well. Is there any way I can invite only a few people from work without offending the rest of my coworkers?
It is absolutely acceptable to invite coworkers and your employer to your wedding if you have a good relationship with them. Coworkers, who you are less familiar with, should not expect a wedding invitation since it would be financially difficult to invite every single person from your workplace, especially if you are in a large company with many employees.
Be sensitive however, to their feelings. This is particularly true if you work in a smaller department or organization. Let them know, for instance, that you have a small guest list. You may also want to save wedding conversations for outside the workplace to further prevent hurt or sore feelings.
